How to make line follower robot using Arduino UNO

Hello friends today I am going to describe how you can make a basic line follower robot using Arduino Uno & L293 motor driver board

You need to make

  1. Arduino Uno
  2. IR sensor module
  3. L293d motor driver board
  4. 2wd robot chassis
  5. Castor wheel
  6. 150 rpm geared motor & wheels
  7. Connector wire & jumper wires
  8. 9Volt battery or lithium-ion battery or power bank
  9. black tape for making the line
  10. Arduino code

Buy all parts together as a KIT from here

Connection of robot

  • Left & right motor connect to l293D motor driver board
  • 2 IR sensors vcc to Arduino 5volt
  • 2 IR sensors gnd to gnd
  • Left IR sensor signal out pin to Arduino Digital pin 2
  • Right IR sensor signal out pin to Ardiono Digital pin 3
  • Motor driver board Left input pins to Arduino Digital pin 4 & 5
  • Motor driver board Right input pins to Arduino Digital pin 6 & 7
  • Motor driver board 5 volt to arduino 5 volt & gnd to gnd
  • Motor driver board 12 volt input to a 9 volt battery & gnd are common to all gnd

Download the code

Download the Arduino code for line follower robot.copy all from txt file. Open Arduino IDE,creat a new file & paste the code. select board as arduino UNO.chose your comport & upload it to Aarduino.
